Single Tooth Implant

In case you have a missing tooth, it’s always recommended to replace it with a dental implant. Unlike bridge, we do not need to shape up 2 adjacent healthy teeth of your’s to fix a 3 unit bridge. We need to work in the empty space & your natural teeth surrounding it stay untouched.

The single tooth implant restoration consists of three parts. Namely, the implant post which replaces the tooth root, the abutment which will support the crown and the prosthetic crown itself. The crown is either cemented onto the abutment or held in place with a screw.

Single implant can be done in many scenarios.

MISSING TOOTH FROM A LONG TIME (MORE THAN 6 MONTHS)

In case that case, bone permitting , we can do immediate placement & loading of implants. That means Implant + Crown done in about 7-10 days flat. We will use Nobel active immediate loading implant (Nobel Biocare-Sweden) & you can choose between porcelain fused to metal crown or Zirconia -metal free crown.

In case you wish to go for a conventional healing ones, we can use Nobel Replace (Nobel Biocare-Sweden) Implants. it needs a healing time for 5-6 months in the upper jaw & at least 3 months in the lower jaw. Only after the healing time, that we can place the crown of your choice on top. Till that time, you may need a temporary tooth in the esthetic zone.

IMMEDIATE EXTRACTION OR RECENT EXTRACTION SOCKET (LESS THAN 6 MONTHS)

In case you are selecting Nobel Replace (Nobel Biocare-Sweden) Implants , its recommended to place the implant & wait for 3-6 months again depending on the jaw area before putting the crown. But with Nobel Active implants,a lot of times, we can sometime do Immediate Implants + Crowns. It needs proper assessment and only bone permitting, we can do the immediate loading of implants with Crowns. Sometimes, the front teeth implants needs special esthetic abutments to get the correct profile.

CHOICE OF DENTAL IMPLANTS (WITH STRAIGHT ABUTMENT)

We use only top end dental Implants – Nobel Biocare from Sweden & Straumann from Switzerland.

1. Nobel Biocare: Replace Select / Straumann BLT, each implant costs Rs. 35,000
2. Nobel Biocare: Active, which can be used for immediate loading in the well healed bone (implant + crown simultaneously*), thereby reducing the procedure to single stage. Each Implant costs Rs. 45,000.

The call to do the implant + crown simultaneously* depends on host of factors including bone density. 

CHOICE OF CROWNS

• Porcelain fused to Base Metal crown/bridge is Rs. 7500 each
• Porcelain fused to metal crown (CAD-CAM designed) “Screw retained” costs Rs. 10,000 each.
• We also offer top end Zirconia metal free Crowns (Brands like Procera; Lava: ZirCAD) each of which costs about Rs. 15000.
• Zirconia metal free crown-Screw retained – (Procera from Nobel Biocare-Sweden)-each costing Rs. 20,000.

TIME FRAME & SITTINGS

We prefer to do the Implants in 1st visit along with temporaries, which should be changed to permanent Porcelain teeth after 6 months time, hence we recommend a second visit to us after at least 6 months. But if the conditions are fine, we can do IMMEDIATE LOADING with Crowns during the same visit. Each visit should be for at least 7-14 days time.
